Beautiful Day

Another beautiful morning in the Ozarks...
Temps too high for it to stay, but it's so beautiful while it's here.

Tree Trimming

Howell-Oregon Electric Coop trimming around the power lines.
I was totally fascinated with these machines...

They had a bucket truck, wood chipper, a smaller tractor with a brush hog too, but I had never seen these things before...

1-16-2016 - Afternoon fun...

Dustin and I went shooting on the 37 acres this afternoon, he wanted to practice with his pistol so I brought a couple of pistols and my Hi-Point 45 Carbine. Yep I have one, nine shot magazine, California bullet button and all. Very ugly but it shoots.

A while back I built a 9mm AR carbine with a 80% lower, very good shooter and the 9mm is a blow back design, I thought that it would be cool to make a AR pistol in 9mm, it would cheaper to shoot than most other calibers, and the recoil would be ok too. I found a company that sells 80% lowers that use Glock magazines, 9mm Bolt carrier, and 9mm buffer so that's what I used, also found another company that sell 5.5 inch 9mm uppers. Coated the upper and lower with Burnt Bronze Cerekote, just got it all put together yesterday so I took it out for a test run… ran about 150 round though it without any problems, I'm Happy.!!!

I'm shooting at the target on the left, about 8 yards away and I'm bracing it against a tree.

18 rounds all in the red...

Same distance, same tree, target on the left...

33 rounds, this is fun...

Very Happy With This Build...
