12-4-2015 - Enough Said

Saw this on Facebook...

May not work for everyone but I would rather have the option to fight back than to be a helpless victim...

Would you permit me to share my thoughts tonight on this latest mass shooting?

As 14 families mourn the loss of loved ones and others are hoping and praying their dear ones survive and heal..and hundreds more try to move past the emotional pain and fear they are feeling from today's mass murder in San Bernardino, California, I can't help but think we will turn this into a typical argument on guns, gun control, politics...

I'm hearing so much from liberals, conservatives, pro-gun and anti-gun, socialists, progressives, moderates, republicans, democrats, etc. You name the "group," they are opining about guns, gun legislation, and pointing fingers.

Let's be honest, if gun control could TRULY stop the violence, we'd all be for it, but it is NOT the guns. (I KNOW, half of you don't want to keep reading, but please do.)

So many people own guns and would NEVER think of hurting innocents. Let's be real. We KNOW, deep down, it's the "mentality," the "ideology" that is causing this violence.

Gun's didn't bring down planes on 9/11, box cutters and anti-American, Islamic-Extremist ideology caused that chaos. The Planned Parenthood shooting can't be blamed on the NRA; A man with "dilusional, anti-government views" shot-up the place. Guns can't be blamed for Paris 11/13 Attacks; radical Islamic beliefs caused that carnage.

Yes, you can be an "American citizen" and have anti-American views, political or religious beliefs that JUSTIFY or encourage violence and the killing of innocent people.

I WISH it were as EASY as blaming guns or the NRA. It's not. Let's be honest and place blame with poisonous ideologies.

This isn't a time to run to our "political corners" and regurgitate the party line. Let's use COMMON SENSE. It's people's beliefs that are the ROOT of mass shootings in this world.

Your thoughts....
